Key Privacy and Anonymity Issues

"Privacy is one of the biggest problems in this new electronic age."

Privacy is the state of being free from public scrutiny or from having your secrets or personal information shared. Privacy is a fundamental human right; it is someone’s right to keep their personal matters, business or company matters and even relationship secrets. It is also the quality or condition of being secluded from the presence or view of others.

It is not okay for me that someone knows my password on my cell phone especially if they are not my best friend or closest friend. To be honest, only two people knows my password on my cell phone because I know that I don’t have any personal information on my cell phone and even if there is personal information there I know that they will not use it to harm me or to affect my reputations because I trust them so much to the point that they knew may cell phone’s password. And I know that I’m not hiding anything on my phone and it is not somehow private. They know my cell phone’s password and borrowed it just to play games and view my camera roll.

Social media platforms have become an integral part of online lives. Social networks are a great way to stay connected with others, but you should be wary about how much personal information you post. For the social media accounts, it is not okay for me that someone knows my password on my social media accounts. And no one knows my password because in all my social media accounts there are many important informations and important messages. It is important for me having privacy on my social media accounts because it is my private life and I don’t like someone seeing or scrolling my own social media accounts especially messages and it is uncomfortable. Even having in a relationship, I really don’t give my account’s password because privacy and trust are important for me and when trust is breached in one relationship that could make us more reluctant to trust in other relationships. And it feels like someone’s controlling my life or someone’s know what I am doing if someone knows my social media accounts.

Privacy is very important to all especially for keeping personal information private. Nowadays, it is hard to trust someone and many news has been circulating that their social media accounts has been hacked due to posting or showing some of their personal details and giving account’s password to the people who you don’t trust. Be cautious about how much personal information you provide on social networking sites. The more information you post, the easier it may be for a hacker or someone else to use that information to steal your identity, access your data or commit other crimes such as stalking. Learn about and use the privacy and security settings on social networks. They are there to help you control who sees what you post and manage your online experience in a positive way.
